Hazelthe Hedgehog

Hazel's curly brown spines look prickly, but if you look closely you'll see the little pink flower tucked behind her ear and the tiny heart she carries in her paws. She's the gentlest creature in the whole wood.

She loves autumn afternoons best — the way the leaves crunch, the smell of apples, the golden light. Hazel greets every friend with a warm hug and every stranger with a warm hello.

Hazel joins the woodland circle in Book 3, reminding everyone that soft hearts are strong hearts and that being brave for the ones you love is the truest kind of courage.
